3days thoughts

3days thoughts, not in order:

I can’t remember when was the last time I blog.

But I know it has been ages. Months. Too long. I stop blogging actively ever since I started working. Blogging for me is too personal. Blogging is a personal expression. And I don’t want the readers or public to link it with the company im working with. And I don’t want to be allegedly being a supporter to any political parties. And I’ll hate it if people accuse or label me as a bad employee from my postings.

Anyway today I have some thoughts to share.

1.       It has been a tiring week. So much things to settle, bt in a same amount of time. it feels like thr’s less than 24hrs a day.
2.       Preparing to leave the island. Will b away for mor than half a month in a land far away called Kepala Batas, alone. It’ll b interesting n challenging!
3.       Cant wait for a loooooong break.
4.       Dis is an important announcement dat my green scooter is goin to leave me. If u sat on the bike b4, say byebye. It has been loyal to me for yrs, bringing me around Penang n Perak, rain or shine. U stil hv time to take pics with it until tmr morn.
5.       Wen its smtg dey dun like, dey scold, ask y nvr consult dem. Wen we consult, scold again, ask y nid to spoonfeed us. Hahaha. This is part and parcel of a working life.
6.       If made mistakes, dun cplain wen u r corrected.
7.       To my colleagues who have been kind, helpful, n resourceful tq so much. I appreciate gud ppl n those who smile wil leave a mark in my heart.
8.       Count ur blessings than ur sorrow.
9.       Wil thr b a change of gov? if yes, wat will hppen?
10.   anyway wana meet up? I m free until Fri nite.
11.   Photos for display r up.

home.. =)

Hi my sexy Penang and hot Malaysia i'm seeing you again. it's so nice to be home.. This is where i belong! =)

I just landed in Penang at 5pm just now and reached home at 8 something. Damn tired. After cleaning up, I’ll go to amma’s house to prepare the Pai Thni Kong celebration.

I feel like I’ve been away for so long although it’s like just half a month. But half a month is really long for me. I missed a lot of things in Penang. But everything happens for a reason la.

You can have the both worlds you know. In life, you need to choose. When you choose, you need to let go something else.  So while you are having something now, you have to sacrifice other things that come along the way. Unless your life is so dull that you don’t have to make any choice.

My journey started from Sunday 15/1/2012. I went to Hong Kong with my dad. Then to Taiwan on Sunday 22/1/2012. My mum, sister, aunty and amma flew there to meet us. Then on 25th my brother flew there alone to meet us. Funny I know. Everyone like went separately to a same destination. What to do, my mum and brother is working while my sister is schooling.

It’s ok la. as long as we celebrated CNY together overseas. So I consider it as a family trip .

I’m done with travelling this year. I am super broke. It’s time to work, work harder, save and save more money before I fly again next year. I make it to a point that I must travel and get my passport chopped at least once a year from different countries.

Now time to clean up, unpack and pray. House is loaded with things and messy again. Wohooo!

*yes I practice Penang-centrism. =)*

i love to explore by bike

I love to travel. I love to go around. I love to explore and see lives. My eyes are hunger for new things that I never see. In Kampar, I have been using my bike to go around. First reason is because I don’t have a car. Second reason is because I don’t feel like travelling in a car. It’s better to go with a bike then only you can stop and see, feel and taste lives along the way. I feel life is so meaningless lo if you just wana reach your destination. . It’s not about whether you drive fast or slow. Sitting in a car is like being in a box. Go to a destination in a box and come back in a box. You don’t know what’s going on at your surrounding. That’s why I prefer to use bike if it’s in reachable distance.

Air Asia RM0.10 crazy sales!

Suddenly my friend from Philippines told me that she’s getting married on 8th January 2012. That’s like next month??

And so coincidently that Air Asia is having its 10 year anniversary sales. The ticket is as low as RM0.10!! crazy or not!! GILA!

Without wasting time, I quickly surf Air Asia’s website. I have 2 good reasons to do that isn’t?

For the first time ever, I sit in from on the laptop until now, to fight with thousands of people to get cheap flight ticket.

The line is so laggy.

Oh what a life!

It’s ok. It’s fun!! I’m so excited right now. I wonder if the ticket is as cheap as RM0.10, then RM100.00 enough for me to travel around the world or not?? Hahaha! I’m dreaming!

Anyway I’ve checked the flight ticket to Philippines. OMG! It’s about RM1000! That’s a lot..

With RM1000, I can go back to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam with Kwan Yee and Pei Suang. Hehehe.

Sorry Carla, I can’t make it for your wedding. Wish you abundance of happiness and love for the rest of your life.

Those who are still trying their luck to fly, all the best.

I’m going off now. Tata!

postcard from Vietnam

The weather is so marvellous today. It’s so blue, so clear and breezy. It’s sunny but not humid. It’s so cheerful.

The weather just makes me feel happy. Those who love photography, this is a good time to take pictures.

On this good day I received good news.

In the morning, while reading The Star Online, I saw my name in one of the articles here http://thestar.com.my/metro/story.asp?file=/2011/10/6/central/9612768&sec=central

And then just a while ago, I received my own postcard which I posted about 2 weeks ago.

It’s a Cambodian’s postcard but sent from Vietnam. Final destination? Malaysia!

Hahaha!

I know it sounds crazy that I send postcard to myself. But it’s fun. It’s like wow, I received a postcard from oversea.

I bought that postcard from Siem Reap, Cambodia. Initially, I wanted to post it to Malaysia at that time but too bad, Siem Reap was having massive flood. When I was at Phnom Penh, they were having their public holidays. No chance to send.

Finally when I reached Vietnam, their post office was open. So I sent it on 27th September. After 10 days, I received it!

Kwan Yee and Pei Suang, have you got your postcard?  =p

after 10days, i am home!

This blog has been untouched for almost 2 weeks. Now the owner is back!!

Uh la la..

I am home, finally. I am home in Malaysia. I am home in Penang. I said before and I’ll say it again, nothing feels better than home. Malaysia is still the best.

‎It’s awesome to meet my family members once i arrived in Penang. Kwan Yee sent me to my amma’s house. My mum was waiting me there to fetch me home. At home, home-made food were waiting to fill my hungry stomach.

Some of you might not know where I went. I just came back from a 10 days backpacking trip with Kwan Yee and Pei Suang to 3 countries, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

It was great. I have too many stories to share but not here this time.

I just wana say that I am safe and sound, still as skinny as always.

My begpack weighed 17kg! damn! I had to pay USD18 to check in my begpack. Haha.

I brought RM1.5k for the trip and back with only RM20. Haha. At least I have RM20 savings. Transportation cost a lot of money. That’s why I couldn’t buy a lot of souvenirs for friends. Budget a bit tight and I don’t know what I should buy. Sorry my friends.

Sorry to Kim as well. I couldn’t find selling hand-made soap in these countries, what more a normal soap. Only groceries sell it. I didn’t buy anyway.

I bought some gifts for my family members and some friends. Hope they like it though.

Eventhough we went to only 3 countries, but we had 5 currencies. What is funny throughout the whoel journey is 3 of us are sucks in Maths. Everytime when we have to pay, there will be problem. And we took a lot of times to do the conversion of currencies. =p

One thing I’m surprised is I didn’t have stomachache or lausai during the trip. Not at all. But now after back home, I lausia!! Wat the shit. ..

Thanks to Sarah Khoo for lending me her sleeping beg. It meant a lot for me as I slept in Bangkok Train Station for our first night and in Siem Reap International Airport for our last night.

Total clothes to be washed are: 6 shirts, 3 pants, 2 underwears and a boxer. Hahaa.

Photos? It’s still in my pendrive. I haven’t transfer it yet. Too much of photos!

I have been sleeping the whole day besides than eating. I made nasi goreng for lunch and it’s damn yummy. Today shall be my rest and lepak day at home. A lot of unloading and cleaning up stuffs to do as well. I am still feeling sleepy right now.

Tomorrow will be a working day for Kwan Yee, as usual. As for me and Pei Suang, we’ll back to suffer, to do our serious business, finishing our Final Yeap Project and submit at the end of the month.

Many things are pending to be done. October shall be the month for FYP, the top priority.

Things have been good since I touched down from the flight yesterday. I got good news lasty night and this morning.

Hope everything will be good for everyone till we meet 2012.

May Buddha bless you all.

Bye.

Orang Asli Semai from Kampung Pos Dipang

Date: 21/11/2010

Time: 5.35pm

Venue: Kampung Pos Dipang, Kampar, Perak

Kampung Pos Dipang in Kampar, Perak was one of the first Orang Asli villages to be destroyed by a disaster in Malaysia. A mudslide due to a heavy rain gushed away the whole village on August 29 1996 about 6pm. The Orang Asli village was situated next to Sungai Dipang. A nearby Chinese village also got affected by the mudslide. The incident snatched away 44 lives but only 39 remains were found, the other 5 are still missing. The disaster is believed to be contributed by the logging activities nearby. True enough, when i went there, a huge area of the jungle were cleared. A lot of trees were chopped and ready to be transport out.

As i always say, development is good but not to the extent that it destroys us.
