I Am A Lonely Photographer

It’s raining so heavily here in Kampar. It’s flooded again. And again, I went out to snap some photos.

And I was alone..again.

When I went backpack, my friend said I'm a lonely photographer.

Well, she is right.

Now I get what she meant. I bet many people who saw me on the street have the thought also.

I never follow a photography trip before. Neither do I go for a photography outing.

I don’t feel comfortable.

But I will purposely go out to snap something that I feel is meaningful. For example if a building is going to be demolished. Or if the sky is beautiful.

It's ok la.. I enjoy what I'm doing and i don't need a bunch of photographers to make me good.

Whenever people see me, they will see my camera too.

Hmmm..

I don’t know why I’m suddenly so down. Maybe because I saw some outing photos from my friends in Facebook. It’s ok.. I am not jealous at all.

It just makes me realized many things. I’ll just keep those thoughts in myself.

I thank God for giving me good eyes to see. Sometimes my eyes see something that the other people don’t see and that’s what makes my photos special. I’m thankful for having a heart that cares and I express it through images. I’m glad I’m always alert with my surrounding too.

I don’t have the intention to praise myself but I always share my experience with my friends. I am so much happy everytime I see their happy face. The satisfaction of getting a good shot is extraordinary.

As I’m writing this, it’s raining cats and dogs outside.

If you are a lonely photographer like me too, don’t be sad. It’s an enjoyable thing to snap pictures with all the freedom you need. Whatever you do, you just need to enjoy it and you will do it well. 

I am happy being a lonely photographer. 

flash flood in Kampar

April 29 - Kampar is flooded again today for the second time in my 3 years of studies in UTAR Kampar. The first flood happened on April 10 but it's not as worse as today's flood.

The super heavy downpour started after 5pm and lasted for more than 1 hour with deafening thunders and discolight lightning. The scenario was like a war scene in Iraq. wooo scary right?!

Westlake Homes for UTAR students accomodation went blackout at 5.45pm and resumed only when the rain stopped at 7pm.

i wanted to go out to snap some shots but the rain was just too heavy. The water level rose so fast and the water poured into my house.

1 hour of heavy rain with loud thunders and disco lightning caused Kampar to be flooded. Places like Westlake, Harvard, New Town, Taman Tasik Selatan, and Taman Kampar Perdana are seriously affected. Some places were black out. More photos? Ask from UTAR students. =p
Places like Harvard, New Town, Taman Tasik Selatan, and Taman Kampar Perdana are seriously affected too. Now the biggest victims are the students where their vehicles could not start and their rooms are leaked thanks to the good construction by the profit-maker. The worst thing is UTAR students are having their finals now.

Not to forget, the shoplots in New Town also flooded. They are gona have bad time to clean the mess.

By the way, i'm really 'impressed' with Kampar. Satu kali hujan, satu Kampar tenggelam. walaueh.. the rain here so keng lo. In Penang, kalau hujan hor, at least oni few parts banjir. haha.

what a small supermoon

people said that tonight's moon will be very beautiful. The news said so too. The Star said the moon will be bigger and brighter. read the news below.

alright, so,  many people from all around the world stay awake whole night to catch a glimpse on the moon which only appears every 20 years.

Despite the non-stop heavy rain in Kampar, UTAR-ians still kopek their eyes besar-besar to see the moon as if they never see a moon before, including me.

the clouds are so thick, covering the moon. the moon pulak shy shy hiding behind the moon. My friend from KL sms me to look at the supermoom.

finally at 3.30am i saw the moon. i went to the road with my zoom lense. the first thing i saw was not the moon but a cat with her kittten. two of them lying on the road, playing with each other and relaxing. i guess they were waiting for the moon to pop out as well. Then, suddenly, middle of the night, the kitten is hungry n sucks the mother's tits for susu. oppps. i use wrong words to describe the situation ah?? nvm. ya anak kucing minum susu ibu.

watching the kitten 'drinking' milk is so loving. i mean, it's such a loving scene la. after a while the moon finally appeared.

WHAT THE HECK!!

the moon is so damn small la. ayoooooooo. why so funny one. KL's moon so big and bright but Kampar's moon so blehhhh. what a small super moon. no difference with the normal moon also.

you people who's still hoping to see the so-called super moon, go sleep la k. the moon won't suddenly grow bigger la.

well, it's still raining out there. whole night already.

i didn't go out for dinner because my bike break down last night.

thanks to my senior, Elween who fetched me to uni this afternoon.

hmmm.. it has been some time since my blog is about my daily life. i mean, in 1 post i talk about what happen bla bla bla la.. you know.. tonight i just feel like writing a diary. who cares! if you don't like, you don't read la. If you wana attack my personal life also go ahead la. you got nothing better to do right??

today is the official day i cycle to uni in this semester although it's the second time. the first time was last Friday when i cycled all the way for 20minutes to Eastlake to meet Pei Suang and the rest then cycled for another 10mins to uni.

have to cycle lo, what to do, motor rosak ma. Siang Yong came to my house and we cycled together. we used to cycle to uni a lot last time before i got my bike. the feeling of nostalgic was there. the sky was so blue with the sunny clouds. the guard waved to me, telling me it's good to cycle. hahaha. of course it's good cuz they don't have to face me, who always try to sneek into uni. my bike don't have sticker actually. shhh.. =p

i had a presentation today. i did something different for the presentation la and i know it's not well accepted especially by a friend when she showed her disgruntled face, not looking at us at all throughout the whole presentation. hmmm.. it's ok. at least i and my groupmates dare to do something different. it's actually a simple presentation. we have to interview politicians. so we feel it'll be boring if we just explain and compare the politicians. at the end, we acted out the whole interview session. hahah. this is the very first time i act in my presentation i think. is it?? =p

my classmates especially Dai Ga Jie, Ah Joo, PC, Pei Suang and Ai Loon were so high tonight. they kept on spamming my Facebook wall by tagging me in their video. Oh God! i tell you, in total, it's more than 30 videos lo. siao la! they were so damn high. duno why.. everyone pakat and attack me. hahaa.

Then i posted this is my Facebook status, "oh JR-ians Jan 2009 intake sekalian. spam me la till this December. Wherever you all go, i will follow you, till we say bye bye. YESSSH!! muakS!".

We are going to graduate by the end of this year. I can see many people have developed, i won't use the change la. I can see developments in them. some become better in ENglish especially Ai Loon. i love to see her talk nowadays. And Vivien is not that crazy anymore. While for Mirawani, i'm touched and impressed when she let go her dream of winning a modelling competition for her studies. These are just the very few examples.

Being here in UTAR 3 years more or less has make us grown up. Saying goodbye is a hard thing but i'm sure before we say goodbye, we'll spend a lot of time together. And they already plan to go Genting Highlands in Week 13, Pangkor Island in Week 14, Terengganu in semester break and Sarawak end of this year.

hahaha. habis koyaklah poket i. But aiyah don't berkira so much la. seriously think about this, do you think you'll have the chance to travel with them after you graduate? i'm not trying to be sentimental here but this is the fact. you can have thousandsss of friends in the cyber world, but true friends only a few of them and in university's life, your classmates are your true friends.

cherish them. make use of the time when you are with them. forgive and forget, support each other.

i talk too much. lalalalalalala.

class at 8am tomorrow. oh hope that the rain won't stop so that i can sleep till the afternoon. haha. how to go to uni if it's rain. ayayaya.

one more thing, one last thing before i end my 'speech', my photos may be not good enough to be put into an exhibition, it's ok, because at least i still have my Facebook and blog to share the beauty of my life through the lense.

then, arrghhh!

shit happened!

6.45pm: rain poured. heard some mini thunder. fine. no problem.

6.47pm: BOMB! blackout! suddenly no electricity! why.. why u do this to me when i was so fully concentrating and into my journals?? then, the rain got heavier. the day was getting darker.

7.03pm: oh yeah! the light is back. but disco light.. blinking blinking twinkle twinkle little stars.

7.05pm: i went to pee. the electricity is so playful. peeing halfway, shit i cant see my KKC! arrghhh! blackout again! so dark! luckily my aiming skill is good. wahahah!


7.25pm: everything is back to normal..

7.35pm: i opened The Star's website! OMG! Datuk Lee Chong Wei beats Lin Dan in Japan Super Series! wa wa wa! holiao ah! i am so PROUD of u la! finally finally! after a long wait... it's a sweet revenge! happy gila babi la aku. give u a BIG hug Chong Wei!

Back to bergatai with William Case again.. =(

status update

1) back from RONDA again. JR 012009 exploration territory is getting larger. 

2) all wet. outside wet, inside also WET-WET. 

3) twice went to Sungai Salu Waterfall, twice i lost my specs. no more trademark APEK specs. =( 

4) from my observation, the best way to KNOW a friend is by travel. 

5) ADA FEEL! YESH! USHH!

i have to say that i am really happy, enjoyed, glad and LOVE you lah LEE PEI SUANG, TAN TECK JOO, HAH HAW YEEN, NG AI LOON, NG EE THENG AND TAY PANG CHONG!  

WE WILL EXPLORE MORE AND MORE PLACES AGAIN WITH OUR MOTORBIKE AND BICYCLE! =P

I had a wonderful day today seriously. I din ponteng class today. N me, Tiffany, Rachael, Sotong and Siang Yong went to Ipoh with car for the first time for lunch and we had so much fun.

But just after the class ended at 6pm, something happened.

I asked a friend something and this is what she replied.

''CAN YOU DON'T BE SO SARCASTIC AH?! IM SO PISSED OFF!"

Huh??

I AM SPEECHLESS!

I HATE people accuse me. U wana joke, go ahead but don’t accuse.

Seriously i duno wat’s wrong with her. Usually we’ll tease each other n she tease me more than i do. Im fine with it. But today i did nothing. I din being sarcastic at all. I just ask her a very simple, direct and straight forward question n she meletup.

jog under the rain

Im WET! Yes I like it. YES!

But im just partially wet la. not fully wet also. aiyah. Sien nia.. Tak syiok la lidat!

I wana be wet, totally wet from head to toe.

I just back from jogging actually. It was a VERY random one. After class, I went to get a bottle of soya drink, a very expensive one by V-Soy.  I was so desperate for soya. I duno y. I just wana get drunk with soya at that time and then sleep. But how in the world soya can make me drunk la. GILA!

So fine. Den I saw my classmate, Jing Wen. She wana go jog jog. But suddenly the rain poured heavily and she wana go home. Haha. so I said to her, come let’s jog together. Yes let’s jog under the rain.

Yea yea crazy blab la bla whatever.. lalalalala la la lolu lululu. Crazy people always have crazy n creative ideas in their mind ok.

Woohoo! It was like a dream come true-to play water. N I jogged for the second time in this semester. n I jogged under the rain man for the first time!! Fuyoooo!

I dragged Jing Wen along. She was like wat the tutttttttttttt, y im running under the rain?? Hahaa. I yelled, I screamed, I sang loudly like no one’s business. I wana get out all the stress, unhappiness, geramnes, guilt and joy out of me. I ran for a very long distance, from Westlake to Jalan Mati, to UTAR then to Westlake.

But im not tired la. I just wana get tired..

And the RAIN! Eeeee! Why la u so shy Mr. Rain? Why u malu-malu kucing. Shy shy for wat! Come on la. Rain big big ma. We dun mind u noe. Im happy if u rain big big. I asked u to rain big big right but why u stop half way? Not sporting la u… nvm 1 la if u rain. No one will blame u, u noe. Next time rain big big k. =p

I was hoping the rain will be a BIG one. As big as the wave or the water from my shower. You know.. like one big gush one water pour on your head. Waaaaaaaa.. nice!

I dun mind if you wana bring a bucket of water and splash on me. wow! It’ll be so much fun! =p

So yea we jogged, we walked, I ran backward etc from before the sunset until after the moon rise. Wow! Means from the daytime till now, night time lo. Under the rain for an hour lo.

Im not exhausted yet you know. Im still physically fit. YESH! What is wrong la.. emotionally exhausted is not enough la. come on someone please make me tired.

I AM NOT SATISFIED. I WANA RUN SOME MORE! ANYONE ANYWHERE WANA GO RUN WITH ME? COME LA!

since today is Friday n i dun have class tomorrow n i dun have any meeting tonight, so let's BLOG!

Furthermore, Nixon said boring cuz so long i never update my blog already.
i was so busy ma. i am still very busy.

it is wow cuz this is just the second week but me n my friends are so busy already since week 1.

Pei Suang is busy with Buddhist Society, Amirah is busy with Asian Cultural Society, Tiffany is busy with church activites n im busy with E_ _ c _ _ _ n.
anyway i had Pizza with Vivien, Tiff, Mira n Rachel.

WE so semangat nak makan Pizza Hut.

went to teh shop with Tiff. suddenly hujan. we wrapped the food n our belongings with plastic beg and we ride under the rain.

haha syiok man. berbasah sebab kempunan makan Pizza Hut. Pizza Desperado.
haha we are teh crazy bongeek bunch of people!

oh ya first match of World Cup is tonight right? good la. go watch. but don't bet. don't corrupt the sports. let the true spirit of sports to alive.

im going to have assignment discussion later at 10pm and TIDUR!!

im so damn tired. i must get all the rest i needed. must reguvenate myself. if not, belum mau fight sudah KO.

lesson to be learned

One thing that I learned a lot while staying alone is..

I mean the biggest lesson I’ve leaned when I go out from my room is…

Nola, u can on the electricity if u want.

Nola, u can on your laptop.

Nola, u can open your water tap.

BUT NEVER FORGET TO CLOSE YOUR WINDOW!

THAT‘S THE MOST IMPORATANT LESSON I’VE LEARNED!

MY ROOM IS WET AGAIN!

Kannineh (Ai Loon: 11 May 2010). Kanasai I went for exam, after exam I gatai went to library to borrow books that has nothing to do with my exam n now I just got back!

Im not wet! But my room wet! My brother’s shoe that I borrowed, washed n put it outside to dry is also wet.
