Blessing in Disguise

I am happy.

I was chatting with a lecturer on what to do after graduation.

Then when i decided to start with a permanent job after graduation, i got to know that there's no vacancy in the company that i want to go.

It's kinda sad.

But she said this to me, "blessing in disguise."

At least i feel better.

Maybe everything happens for a reason. Ada hikmahnya segala yang berlaku. You won't know.

Maybe i will get something else in return.

I Googled the meaning of blessing in disguise and this is what i got.

1.      If some bad luck or misfortune ultimately results in something positive, it's a blessing in disguise.

2.      Is a good thing that you don't recognize at first as a good thing.

3.      Some people believe that good things are really "blessings" (gifts from God), that we don't always recognize for what they are at first.

4.      Something that at first seems bad, but later turns out to be beneficial.

I am worried, scared and feel insecured for not securing a job yet when i am graduating end of the year.

My internship is ending very soon.

About one week from now, I’ll be leaving KL.

Time flies so fast. I’m here in KL for 3 months already.

I still have many things that I wana do here but time is running out.

I feel a bit sad for leaving this place especially the people here.

What makes me stronger each day staying in this concrete and alien jungle is friendship. Without friends, my life will be so dull.

They lighted up my life. They added colours to KL.

I may forget to thanks them in person all the time, but I thank them deep inside my heart and I keep them in my prayers. I remember them.

There are people who i already met but I wana meet them again. And there are people who I haven’t met and I definitely want to meet them before I go back to Penang.

Well, they are not superstars, VIPs or celebrities. They are friends..

I know it will be hard because I wana meet so many people and we all have our own things to do. I’m here for only about 7 days. I’m working everyday from morning till late evening and I’m involved in a theatre production every night. I haven’t done cleaning my room and packing my luggage.

Haih..

Anyhow, I would still love to meet up and have a short chat with you..

It’s such a beautiful day when u r feeling gud, doin gud, seeing smiles frm frens, sharing gud news n get congrats frm lecturers, gettin advises and philosophies frm Miss Tan Jue Jun, celebrate Mr. Afi Roshezry's bday, knowing friends PONTENG class and go to waterfall, selling UTAR Ball’s tix, UTAR Ball committee members so hardworkin, no 8am lecture, tokin 2mum, knowin my bro is ok frm acci, speding evenin wif Tze Huey at the garden, got a job as photographer for few events, snapped nice panorama photos n of cos the weather is nice 2day. wahaha =p

see life is nice la.. =p

DAMN you stomach!

Grrhhh! Why everytime im in a rush and emergency, you cari pasai huh??

I cirit the whole morning and I feel asleep eventhough I woke up early to submit my Special Reporting assignment. I have to submit my assignment by 12pm. and guess what time I woke up. 1pm man! 1pm.

This is so oh my God la. grrhhhh! I was so blur and nervous. I rushed to printing shop to print. And it was raining.

So yea I was late to submit my assignment. Hmmm.. Miss Tan wana deduct 20%. Oklo.. I didn’t say no cuz it’s my fault. I should bear the responsibility and no one to be blame. She’s just being fair to everyone.

Lesson: don’t fall asleep after u wake up.

my advisor is KENG

I duno whether you guys have this Advisor-Advisee programme in your university or not but I have it in my university.

And I tell you it’s a good programme if your advisor really concern and treat you like how they treat their friends or family members lah.

Hehe..

And I must really salute my advisor. Not to bodek her. I memang tak suka kerja bodek. When we praise someone, we do it because we acknowledge that person and because that person is really good. Not because we want to get something in return. That is so not sincere.

So anyway, I was so pissed off and sipek tulan before my Feature Writing Tutorial at 6pm.

Then at the end of the class at 7.30pm, all the students cabut already and the lecturer was alone. So I waited for her since it’s late already. We had a light chat.

I didn’t tell her how I feel la. but I feel so much better and calm after hear what she said.

“Time heals. Be patience.”

That’s all. The speech might not be as great as the nation leaders’ speech but at least it works for me.

I felt so relieved after that.

It always feels so nice after talk to her. hehehe.

She's right! Life is full of challenges. So exam is just a small part of it and it's just a minor challenges in life. Don't be pulled down by exam. life is not just about exam. there are more things out there to be explored.

ahahaha and you know what? She has been repeating this sentence for this whole semester! She is just so cute la. aduih.. you guys should attend her class then you'll know what i mean. she can talk non-stop for 2 hours!! NON-STOP! And she can talk for 2 hours just for 12 slides! HOLIAO rite??! she's dedicated la.. really.

*for your information, Mr. Lionel used to taught me the same subject in my Year 1 Semester 1 and trust me, he is a very good educator, motivator, listener and friend. He may claimed that he's not the best but he is the one of the best among all the best English teachers i ever had.

when you met your lecturers outside the university..

hav u guys ever sit at the same table with your lecturers to makan??

you know.. i feel it's kinda scary when the lecturers suddenly ask u to join them to makan.

anyway i had dinner with my friends.

whiel we are in da way to go back, my lecturers and a friend who are sitting at one of the tables, called me!!

yeah they called me n not my friends!

they are still my lecturers anyhow although they are not giving lecture at that time.

and before that i 'umped' to their table to say hie out of no one. and of the lecturers just stared at me!!

haha.

so anyway their frens talk to me. asked me alot of funny questions about me and my camera and about photography.

fuh... i tell you it's scary ok to talk to you lecturers besides than studies.

their friend is curious why i bring my camera everywhere i go. she asked do i sleep with my camera, what kind of photographs i take and what i get from taking so many photographs.

fuh.. my heart was like jumping out from my body. i need to answer them properly. you know.. my answer will show my personality. i have to use correct language as well. and i have to talk to them like how i talk to the lecturers and not as friends.

the whole conversation was kind of tense for me but it's funny la..

n i found out that the new batch for Journalism will have to take Photojournalism subject.

WAT THE H*LL rite??

how i wish UTAR offers that subject in my syllibus. aih... other universities like Lim Kok Wing, MMU and Han Chiang College offer that subject but it's either too expensive or i don't liek the course structure.

before we bye-bye, i told them about the photo contest, KL Photo Awards. hehe.. and they are willing to sponsor me the entries.

they just got a new baby girl. she's their 2nd children.

born on 1/12/2009 at 7.20am. weight 3.5kg.

her name is Ariana Zarra Kistina Afi Roshezry.

fulamak la sir. nama also canggih. orang sekarang memang suka nama Ariani, Kistina, etc etc.

i wanted to go to the hosp to take pic of their newborn baby but it's so far n so early in the morning la. nvmla.. my sir's hp is canggih enough to take pics.

im so happy n excited with their new baby girl. haha. the best thing ever happen in a married couple is to see their new born baby come to this world, enter university, to see them got married and have children. im just too happy. i love kids. who doesn't like kids? ok maybe some. how nice to 'make' baby with someone you love. hehehe.
