thoughts tonight

- Ask, ask, and ask until you get the information that you need. If not don’t you ever go back to the office.

- I am not good yet but I will work harder to be good.

- It’s an achievement if the office didn’t call you after you finish work. If they do, means there are problems with your stories.

- When you are happy, laugh it out. When you are sad, cry it out.

- Do what you like. Like what you do.

- Life brief candle. Kalau ada umur panjang, bolehlah jumpa di masa hadapan.

- Religion for me is just about where you go after you die.

- Feels good to see or to listen to some good friends or people that have made a deep presence or impact in your life after so long.

- I may have hight tolerance but definitely not patience.

- How you handle your emotions and react to people at home will reflect on your behaviour out there.

- If you are bad to people, don't expect people to be nice to you.

Happy Wesak Day

It’s Wesak Day again today.

I don’t know why but every year, when Wesak Day is here, I will feel certain kind of calmness and peace.

It’s the spiritual feeling that hard to describe.

I’m glad I’m off today May 5 on Wesak Day. Coincidently today marks my second month of working in the media.

So what’s the plan today? As usual I wake up late. Then I’ll go to temples to pray, get free vegetarian good and Dhamma books.

I think I’ll go to a few temples to take pictures as well since I haven’t send my camera for repair yet.

The finale of Wesak will be the grand procession tonight from the Malaysian Buddhist Association at Burma Road.

I’ve never missed the procession ever since I started watching it as a kid then volunteered as a first aider during secondary school.

Not to forget, the prayers I will be making for my grandparents, parents, siblings, girlfriend, friends, Malaysia and the world.

Anyway, I hope with this Wesak Day, everyone will be blessed and the country will be peaceful again. No more violence anymore. We may not have wars with other countries or terrorists, but we have conflicts between its people and the government. May the evils are back to the track and be good again.

Happy Wesak Day.

*There will be traffic jams everywhere. So plan your route. Penangites stay at home if you don't wana be pissed. Or you can always use bike like me. Save time and cheaper. hahaha.*

Erykah Badu says disappointed, promoters blame The Star for concert ban

Read more of the news here from Malaysian Insider http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/erykah-badu-says-disappointed-promoters-blame-the-star-for-concert-ban

What caught my attention is what Erykah said.

“What good is religion if you push out love if it’s not in your comfort zone?”
“My main focus in art is people; politics comes last when we connect as artists on stage.”
“I’m here for the people and hope that the minister meets with me and hope we see love. Doesn’t know me and my music. Many people here care about the show."
“Art is often misunderstood in the realm of religion. Art can’t be censored by anyone.”

Well said.

quote of the day

God never let you down. Only people let you down especially those who are close to you.

Silver Chariot makes its way

The silver chariot carrying the image of Lord Murugan makes it way to Nattukottai Chettiar Temple, Waterfall Road from Kovil Veddu, Queen Street at 6.30am this morning where thousands of devotees have gathered there from as early as 5am to celebrate Thaipusam in Penang.

multicultural beautiful Penang

Penang is a very good example of unity, high social awareness, development, green initiative and most importantly a melting pot of multi-culturalism and a diverse society where people regardless of their differences in religion, custom, belief, race, age, gender and political divide come together in whatever occasions. And in these few days, the spirit of Penangites is shown again where we celebrate non-stop festivals from Maulidul Rasul to Chap Goh Meh to Thaipusam and many more.

This is why I am proud being a Penangite.

We against extremism and racism.

I am made to be muhibbah and i have friends from all kind of backgrounds.

Penang is such a beautiful island. =p

Nabi S.A.W. bersabda..

Dari Abu Hurairah r.a bahwasanya Nabi S.A.W. bersabda: ( sebaik-baik hari dimana matahari terbit adalah hari Juma'at, di hari itu Adam diciptakan, dan pada hari itu dimasukkan ke syurga, dan pada hari itu dikeluarkan darinya, dan tidak terjadi hari kiamat kecuali pada hari Juma'at) (HR. Muslim)

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri

Wohooo! Finally it’s Hari Raya! Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitiri buat semua rakan tak kira di mana anda berada. Hati-hati kalau balik kampung. Makanlah byk2 sampai perut buncit. Sekiranya ada silap n salah, percakapan atau perbuatan, saya minta maaf byk2. Semoga Raya ini penuh dgn kemaafan, keinsafan, keamanan, cinta dan kasih sayang.

Everytime whenver it's Raya or Deepavali, i will sure go back to Penang. Never miss! But this Raya, i'm working. I'll only be back on the 3rd Raya.

Friends asked me before, why do i want to spend money travel home? Raya and Deepavali is not even my celebrations. Eh, i celebrate. I feel so awkward for not celebrating it. Raya and Deepavali are already part of my culture. I'll visit my friends during these festivals.

At the end, i'm the few Chinese who will go back hometown, the rest, stay in the hostel and do their own things or go back for holidays.

I miss home la.

My friends in Penang, wait for me, i'm coming home.. soon!

I guess i'll go back on Wednesday la although i supposed to work. I'll apply for MC or emergency leave la ok. haha. September 6 i must be in uni. I don't wana stay in KL then straight to uni for internship presentation. If i don't go back Penang now, i have to wait till 11th because 11th i need to be in KL for an event.

Blablabla i talk too much. Ok set, i'm going back to Penang then Kampar then KL. At least i can rest in Penang, meet up my friends and spend time with family.

high religion tolerance in Penang

I’m so glad to see the high level of religions tolerance and understanding in Penang. It’s puasa month and also the Hungry Ghost Festival. There’ll be Muslim prayers at night. And the Chinese will have kotai or singing performance. The kotai people actually lowe down the volume drastically as a respect to the Muslim friends. Wow!

kan bagus kalau semua orang boleh baik-baik macam tu. =p

I pray that..

aih terlebih kenyang sampai tak boleh nak tido.

Finished my second paper today. Next paper is next Tuesday. so tonight can rest a while.

well.. i have something to say actually after knowing something not so good happened to my friends.

Friends who are in troubles now, disturbed by problems and feeling so down and demotivated, I feel so sorry I can't do much to help but I, will pray hard to Buddha. I'll ask Him to comfort you, to bless you, to give you peace and help solve your problems. May us be well and happy.
