7.30pm. my hp alarm just rang. Im awake. But I woke up 10minutes before that.
I went to ‘sleep’ at 6pm. eventually I’ve been just lying on my bed, realising what’s going on at my surrounding while my mind is still actively thinking and recalling.
What a sleep because I didn’t sleep at all!
How to sleep well when your heart is not calm like the rough sea?
Im sleepy and my eyes are tired and it feels so heavy, as if it’s gona drop out from the skull.
I need to talk to someone. I need to pray. Yea im gona do that later. I’ll go to see Kuan Yin then Murugan. I need to talk to them…so badly.
Thank God this semester I'm taking 5 subjects only instead of 6 subjects in the previous semester.
And I don't have class again in this semester. wheee! can go back to hometown if i want after class on Friday and come back here again on Monday evening. =p
So my class is from Tuesday to Friday only lo. Everyday the class starts from as early as 8am until 6.30pm. I have up to 4classes on one day. The most free day is Wednesday and Friday where i only have 2 classes on that day.
Week 1 of this semester is good. Really good. I like all the lecturers. Some of them taught me before so no problem la. Some subjects are too boring especially the one that has to do with business and IT. zzz.. Overall, i like the subjects im taking la. Some of the teaching i already know before this when i was working for USM under Janet Pillai. I think i can cope and do better than last semesters. I need to pull up my CGPA la.
These are the subjects that im taking:
1. UAPO1023 Introduction to International Relations 2. UAPO 1033 Introduction to Comparative Politics 3. UAMG 2004 Communication Research Methods 4. UAMG 2014 Communication Theories 5. UAMJ 2024 Business and Electronic Commerce
A REMINDER: THIS IS GONA BE THE TOUGHEST SEMESTER EVER!!
Old but still strong. This fruit seller is already 84-year-old but he still can operate a small fruit stall by the roadride with the help of his daughter and a maid. He's the one who cut the fruits and the price is so cheap.
first week of new semester is still relaxing. Not that stress yet la...
Tiffany is still in Kampar. haha. wat the tooot! she woke up late. and im going out for lunch with Poovan now. i have quite a number of things to sort out this weekend.
1. post pictures of Pei Suang's birthday and Li Theng's farewell.
2. finish up my public speaking final competition speech.
3. plan my Thaipusam this year.
4. fotostate and prepare notes for lecture next week.
I just had a dream again. a real one. It was so real that I thought it happened in reality.
I had supper with Vivien n Tiffany until 6am. Tiff said if im still awake by 7am, please send her to the bus stop cz she’s going back to Ipoh. I said ok n I decided to send her la. The distance from our hostel to the bus stop is really far. Since I have a bike here, since Tiff is one my best buddies here, so okla help each other ma.
But then I fell asleep after that and I just woke up. Tiff didn’t even call me. I think she dun wana trouble me la. but the thing is, it’s so funny cz in my dream, I told Viv that I feel so bad for not fetching Tiff and I apologised to Tiff. I thought it’s real and the thing settled la but no it’s not.
Omg I feel so bad la. I don’t know whether she reaches Ipoh d anot. My hp expired d. sorry Tiff.
No, he is not the God of Prosperity of Tua Pek Kong. You know how I met him? I was rushing to school early in the morning and I saw him walking alone wearing 2 hats with the golden long beard. I was thinking deeply whether to stop my bike and take his picture. I scared that I’ll be late for class. At the end I made a turn because I don’t know when I’ll meet him again. I just asked can I take a picture of him in Mandarin. He just nod his head. I took quite a lot pictures of just his face because the lighting was so bad la. He speaks very thick Mandarin. We had some chat. He hesitates to tell me what’s his occupation but he told me he is 63 years old.
A lovely old lady that sell the best drink in Mambang Di Awan. She brought me and my friend around her shop and house, showed me her old photographs, forced me to take home papayas and she has the most amazing toilet bowl in Malaysia.
today will be the 4th day i fall sick. The red dots are still there. I woke up at 6am this morning because i couldn't sleep. It has been happening for the past 3days. I took medicine last night and i thought i'll sleep till the next morning but i kept waking up in the middle of the night.
and last night, it rained at 4am ++. i was so happy because finally i can really sleep tightly. But manatau the red dots started to react. my whole body started to feel itchy. When i 'garu' it's pain. my skin is like so sensitive right now. Every parts of my skin is itchy. very itchy. it's so irritating. Im still having bad flu fever.
the red dots are getting more and more. another thing that worries me is that suddenly a few swoolen balls pooped up at the back of my head, below my jaw n on my neck.
i didn't tell my parents anything yet. I don't know how. I don't want them to be worried.
what's going on la.. zzz.. i'll do another blood test tomorrow. please be ok before my public speaking competition next wedenesday. i don't want to pull out from the competition because of this. im waiting for it so badly. i wana win something. how am i going to speak my my cacat-ed voice. i dun wana sniff and cough when im giving my speech. i have not much time left.
God, my first wish of the year is please make me ok before the public speaking competition so that i can give all my best. I'll pray hard..
A very helpful and friendly Malay guard that i met at Wawasan Open University. I love his 'fur'. hehe. Doesn't he looks like one of the Sikh guards during the old times that guard the Chinese temples?
still very sick. it's getting worse. red dots pop up evrywhere-hands, legs n body. SCARY!! face is bloody bloody red!
I'm being such a good student for not skipping a.k.a. pontenf any classes today. hehehe.
went to see doctor. the doc gives me 4types of medicines. did blood test. suspected to have denggi. Must go n do another blood test again on Friday to confirm whether it's denggi.
aih.. duno how does it feel to have Denggi.
how lucky i am to fall sick on the 1st day of class. zzzzz..
Thanks Amirah, my good friend for accompanying me to the hospital.
Thanks Siang Yong, my roomate for being so tolerate when i switch off the fan whole night.
I think this is one of the best portrait pictures I ever captured. My heart melts by her sweet smile. We don’t know each other but she’s so friendly posed for photograpgh. I met this old lady when I cycled 20km to Gopeng from my hostel. She talked in Cantonese and I replied with my broken Cantonese. She owns a sundry shop in a very old shophouse with the help of her children.
wohooooo!! i am home in my second home, Kampar! nyeh nyeh nyeh!!
seriously i can't wait for my first class tomorrow. im so excited.
usually when i come back here, i'll clean my room but today, i'm so shocked and yet happy to see my house. It's sparkling clean!! no rubbish or dust on the floor. The house owner came and cleaned the living hall, kitchen and 'clear' the fridge! all our food have GONE!! my Dutch Lady milk, bun, sosej, spaghetty sauce, mayonnaise etc all GONE!!
My roomate cleaned my room and the common area. It's quite clean lah. fuiyooo! i am so proud of him! hahaha. but i think i'll sweep and mop the floor again. Then i'll clear the spider web on the walls cuz Chinese New Year is coming d ma. Today im free so can do all that lo.
There's a new student in this house. She came up and introduced herself. Her name is Rachel and she's an Indian! FULAMAK!!! i like it babeh!! i like to mix with non-Chinese!! harmony!! muhibbah! murtabak! yesss!!! pls dun bergatal with her k. I'm impressed with my open-minded house owner. If you go to other houses, u can only see the same colour of people in the house.
By the way, i am singing LOUDLYYYYYYYYYYyyy like no one's businees. hhahah! come join me. let's yell together! who cares about the pitching???
ok im going off now. housekeeping. then, going to celebrate my goodfren's bday. =p Kampar is damn hot la. 2 times da temperature in Penang. zzz..
Arrghhh! Shit!! I AM SO DAMN LATE!! I JUST WOKE UP AND I HAVEN’T FINISH PACKING YET!
OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
ARGHHHH! %^$r*i&;(*
I was having NIGHTMARE actually. My heart was pounding fast and I was awaRE of my surrounding but I JUST couldn’t wake up!
I heard my mum was waking up my sister but why didn’t I wake up!! why my mum didn’t wake me up. she’s not even at home now. where is she…
Now i'm having fever because of the DREAM!! arrghh!
I have 1 hour left to pack my luggage and clean my room. I need to leave my house by 12.30pm cuz i need to catch the ferry to mainland. That’s it. I won’t have time to do the things I wanted to do.
OH MY GOD LA!!! WHY!!!!!!!
REMINDER: WASH UR LEG MANY TIMES BEFORE YOU GO TO BED.
I am leaving at 2pm later from Butterworth. It's about time for me to go back to my university, UTAR in Kampar, Perak. Today 18th Jan 2010 is the first day of my Year 2 Semester 1 of my degree programme. I am looking forward for it. I feel fresh, as if i'm a newbie of university. I miss my classmates so much. I miss them! All of them! They are now in Kampar already.
Before this i was so eager to go back but now i don't really feel it. I miss home and my family. Im not done with my CNY shopping yet. I haven't done the things that i wanted to do here. Sad right. What to do. I want to achieve something that is beyond my capacity. I mean beyond my control, beyond my ability. I just don't have enought time to do all that la..
I usually pack my luggage few hours before i depart. I'm still packing right now. Too many stuffs to bring back to my second home. I guess one of the reasons i'm SO short is because my beg is super heavy! that;s why i can't grow!! GRRHHH! It's also because of my heavy camera. What a lame excuse. haha.
There's 90% more to pack but haha i feel like blogging laaaaaaaaa........... I have so much to say but so little time.
it's already 2.30am now. Everyone at home has already sleeping. I am sleepy, tired after a long day of rushing here and there, busybody care-pochi (kpc) everywhere. I woke up early in the morning. See how good am i. Then i slept again. zzz.. i missed the chance to document a very unique scenario of racial tolerance in Penang where a group of Indians celebrate Ponggal in front of a church. The celebration took place in the church's compound. Unfortunately i was too lazy to wake up.
In the afternoon i went for my first photography course organised for Sony Alpha DSLR users by Sony. It's FREE! Haha. i learned new things. But most of the things i already know lah. I taught people sitting at my left and right. I took model picture for the first time and i feel so urrghh! i never like modelling photography. NEVER! eeww! i just don't feel comfortable. I can't stand people pose here and there, show their boobs asses here and there.. GRRRHHH! no offence k. I'm just not into this kind of photoshoot. Overall, the course was great. A lot of theories were taught. You know i never learn all these. I'm self-taught in photography and i learn by my experience. Afterall i feel, theories are not that important. You need practice, hardwork and heart in photography and you'll produce a good shot.
Before the course ended, i received a phone call at about 5.30pm saying people died at the sea. So i rushed to Lebuh Macallum from Batu Ferringghi. It's very far ok. I nearly got into accident...again for rushing to cover a news. A car was crossing the road in front of me. Suddenly it brakes. WTH!! I got no where to go! So i pressed the break with all the strenghth i had at that time and luckily my bike managed to stop, in front of the car! damn it! I and other cars honk continuosly at the f*cking red Kenari driver. I got to go in to the scene becoz the guard thought that i'm a r*porter. shhhhhhh... hehehe. but i left early bcoz camera run of battery again. aih.. I still remember when i met a reporter, Chin Liang few years ago at a fire scene, my old semi-pro camera that uses AA battery ran out of battery as well. He was the one who lend me batteries. Today i met him again at the scene, but unfortunately my camera uses another type of battery that only fits Sony DSLR. So i had to leave. If i were a real reporter, i'll sure kena sack for failing to capture the news. Anyway 2 people are found dead. LEt's all of us pray that the other 4 missing students are safe.
I took a nap before i went to Batu Feringghi. My mum followed me. I fetched her. heheh. It was such a warm feeling of her sitting on my bike and she said 'can ride not that fast ah?' HAHA. She was comforting me after i didn't get the thing that i need for my public speaking at Batu Feringghi.
I think i'll need few hours to finish packing. By that time, my mum will wake my sister up to school. And i'll send her to school for one last time before i leave. Then, i'll go to the scene where the students fell into the water during a dragon boat training exercise yesterday morning. Then, see my former teacher at my form six school SXI, buy needle for Thaipusam, fotostat soem documents etc etc.
I think that's all i need to do tomorrow.. After i got back to Kampar, definitely i'll blog more. Haha. More unpublished posts will be up.
I also wana take this opportunity to thank Hor Wei Vern for designing my namecard. It's really nice and unique! BETUL!! unik ok!! Look for her if you need a graphic designer.
Trishaw is a almost-die heritage in Penang. Youngsters are not interested in this trade because of the tiring work, not fix income and negative perception from people. Hence, only old people that some of them are homeless take up this old trade and doing it till the end of their live.
just days before i leave for Kampar, good thingsssss happened. But it makes me exhausted. I think im falling sick soon.
this week i didn't blog much. i write but i just didn't post it because my writings are scattered everywhere.
now i have to go to Batu Ferrigghi night bazar again. wow night bazar. yeah it's a nice place to shop! but damn it im too tired to go to Batu Ferrighhi again.
This is gona be my third trip there since last night. I must go there tonight to settle something for my public speaking competition. And i have been travelling here and there, up and down, north and south these few days.
Feel like landing on my beg and zzz.. I just can't.
He’s a barber at Balik Pulau. Small in size, friendly and the only Malay shop there in the same row with other Chinese. Now, the shop is not there anymore. I wonder where is he. I'm happy and glad that i had a haircut from him before. I had an hour ride all the way to his shop just to had my haircut. Although the style is old, but it's worth it.
He's the owner of Ghany Restaurant at Kampar which sells nasi kandar and Indian food. This type of restaurants usually opened by the Indian Muslims and it's halal. Ghany Restaurant is one of the top spot for UTAR students to gather, chit chat and spend their time.
I'm Not Surprised
Not Everything Lasts
I've Broken My Heart So Many Times,
I Stop Keeping Track.
Talk Myself In
I Talk Myself Out
I Get All Worked Up
And Then I Let Myself Down.
I Tried So Very Hard Not To Loose It
I Came Up With A Million Excuses
I Thought I Thought Of Every Possibility
And I Know Someday That It'll All Turn Out
You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid That I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Mmmmm ....
I Might Have To Wait
I'll Never Give Up
I Guess It's Half Timing
And The Other Half's Luck
Wherever You Are
Whenever It's Right
You Come Out Of Nowhere And Into My Life
And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Baby Your Love Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Possibility
Mmmmm ......
And Somehow I Know That It Will All Turn Out
And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
They Say All's Fair
And In Love And War
But I Won't Need To Fight It
We'll Get It Right
And We'll Be United
And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Being In Your Life Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Single Possibility
Mmmm .....
And Someday I Know It'll All Turn Out
And I'll Work To Work It Out
Promise You Kid I'll Give More Than I Get
Than I Get Than I Get Than I Get
Oh You Know It'll All Turn Out
And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid To Give So Much More Than I Get
Yeah I Just Haven't Met You Yet
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Oh Promise You Kid
To Give So Much More Than I Get
I Said Love Love Love Love Love Love Love .....
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Love Love Love .....
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
"You.. get angry for awhile and blame life for not being fair and then you try to hide your anger in front of your friend. But sooner or later, you learn that life's too short to hide anything. You then accept the hard truth, and try to make the best out of whatever time your friend has left. And along the way, you grow up a little."

30/9/2009 2.04pm New Town, Kampar, Perak, Malaysia
A very old gardener that I found at the place I stay, Kampar. He and his another old Indian friend are the ones who cut the grass at my hostel area, Westlake. Two of them will cycle everywhere with their old black bicycles.
im so KEMPUNAN burger and lok-lok right now. arrrghhh!
anyway kempunan means... er... i think it means ‘craving for’ or ‘dying for’ something.
Hehe. Yes im craving for roadside burger and lok-lok. Seriously roadside burger tastes better then any other burgers from the restaurant. Main point is it is CHEAP!
i miss them lar..You can never get that taste in Kampar or anywhere else.
I’ve been in Penang for almost 4weeks and I haven’t tasted my favourite food. What the heck!
i wana go out to get burger right now but it's so damn late already la. Most of the burger stalls closed d. FINE! it's ok! i'll get that tomorrow! wahahah!
